Fitur Baru Facebook: "Ticker" Memudahkan Kamu Melihat Aktivitas Terbaru Teman

Meskipun tampaknya belum ada press release dari facebook mengenai fitur baru yang terpajang di halaman muka faceook saya, namun saya berani menyimpulkan ini adalah fitur baru. Di namai "Ticker", side bar baru ini memberikan informasi tentang aktivitas terbaru yang teman kita lakukan. Seperti apa yang teman sukai, dimana dan apa yang teman komentari atau status terbaru teman akan muncul dalam side bar yang dinamakan "TIcker" oleh facebook.

Ketika anda scroll down, maka ticker akan tetap mengikuti anda sehingga anda bisa fokus pada apa yang teman lakukan saat ini.

Tak ada keterangan lebih lanjut yang saya dapatkan, bahkan official account facebook juga belum mengeluarkan keterangannya. Tapi sebagai sedikit bocoran, ketika anda mengarahkan kursor anda ke "Ticker" ini, maka akan ada keterangan tambahan dimana aktivitas tersebut berada.

Meski bukan peruahan besar, tapi facebook tahu ini akan memudahkan pengguna untuk memantau aktivitas temannya pada saat itu juga.

semenjak beberapa menit yang lalu, saya kehilangan fitur ini. Tak ada keterangan yang jelas tetapi tiba-tiba fitur ticker ini menghilang dari akun facebook saya. Memang, saya kehilangan fitur ini pada hari yang lain, (saya menulis posting ini pada jam-jam terkahir hari minggu, agustus, 28 20011 da kehilangan fitur ini pada sekitar jam 1:20 am senin, agustus 29, 2011). Saya rasa ini karena facebook masih menguji coba fitur ini dan belum meresmikannya untuk publik meskipun dalam versi beta.

Jadi, tunggu saja hingga facebook mengeluarkan press release lewat akun resminya.

New Feature on Facebook: Ticker, Let You See the Highlights of Friends Activities

Although it seems there is no press release from facebook about the new features displayed on the front page of my facebook, but I dare to conclude this is a new feature. In the name the "Ticker", a new side bar provides information about the latest activities of our friends are doing. Like what your friends like, where and what your friends or comment on the latest status of your friends will appear in the side bar called "ticker" by facebook. When you scroll down, then the ticker will continue to follow so you can focus on what your friends are doing today.

since few minutes ago, I lost this feature. There was no clear explanation but suddenly this ticker feature disappeared from my facebook account. Indeed, I miss this feature on another day, (I wrote this post during the hours of last Sunday, August 28, 20 011 da miss this feature at about 1:20 am Monday, August 29, 2011). I think this is because Facebook is still testing this feature and yet it official for the public even in beta.

So, just wait until the facebook issue a press release through his official account.

1. Register your website hosting here http://www.000webhost.com/order.php. If you do not already have your own domain (since you also are not signed up dot.tk) then please use with a subdomain provided by 000webhost (only for the first time only)

2. After the first list, you need to confirm your email. Simply click on an account that was in the list then click the confirm email and check your email. completed.     What is a domain? Domain is the name of your website. Each web page must have an address different from one another. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) manages the top-level development and architecture of the Internet domain name space. It authorizes domain name registrars, through which domain names may be registered and reassigned. The use of domain names in commerce may subject strings in them to trademark law. In 2010, the number of active domains reached 196 million.[1]

There are two options for the free domain you can get, that is:

1. dot.tk

 dot.tk is a free domain name service that can be used freely with a hosting you want. Registration for each domain valid for a maximum of one year and you can extend for another one next year.

2. co.cc

co.cc is quite popular and has a name that can be said to be equal with the .com domain. However, a co.cc domain that can be obtained free of charge to home users. If youwant to use it as a domain for business, then you should buy it.

Dari script diatas jika dituliskan dengan Notepad dan disimpan dengan nama homepage.html maka akan dibuatlah sebuah halaman yang berisi frame. Bentuk frame tersebut tidak akan kelihatan karena telah dituliskan perintah  framespacing="0" border="0" frameborder="0" yang artinya tidak ada spasi antar frame dan tidak ada tepi frame (border). Dan ini baru langkah awal. Langkah selanjutnya adalah membuat halaman yang akan ditampilkan pada halaman berisi frame tersebut. Dimulai dengan mengisikan logo gambar. Logo gambar ada di file rar yang bisa di download, atau jika anda tetap ingin belajar membuatnya sendiri (thumb up buat anda!) berikut filenya:

Sekarang buatlah folder library ditempat dimana anda taruh file homepage.html tadi, kemudian di dalam folder library tersebut buat lagi foleder dengan nama img . Sekarang taruh logo tadi dengan nama logo.png di direktori library/img .


Tulis script HTML berikut dengan notepad lagi atau HTML editor lain juga boleh dan simpan dengan nama logo.html didalam folder library tadi.

[News Corner] First woman in British Warship

According to the Ministry of Defence, Sarah West (39), women from Lincolnshire ineastern England, becoming the first woman in history who trusted in command of the Royal Navy frigate. West will perform duties as commander of HMS Portland, a Type23 frigate, from April 2012.

He also will get a promotion from the rank of Lieutenant Commander (equivalent toMajor in the British Army) Commander (equivalent to Lieutenant Colonel) to replacethe current commander of the ship, Mike Knott.

West previously served in the Persian Gulf in a team of military operations to theMiddle East. He also received an honorary degree in law.

Women began to be accepted serving in the Royal Navy since 1991 and currentlyamounts to 10 percent of the total British Navy personnel. However, women are only allowed to charge in surface ships, and is still forbidden to join in unity Marines (RoyalMarines), submarines, troops honor the Household Cavalry, and the unity of the Royalarmored cavalry Corps.

Fat That Makes You Fit

Eating grapefruit, climbing stairs, counting carbs--you've tried everything to shed the extra pounds. But still that stubborn paunch persists. Researchers might be one step closer to a solution for this persistent fat. They have found a way to turn ordinary skin cells into a type of fat that burns rather than stores calories. These cells might one day be used to help curb our rapidly expanding waistlines.

When most people think of body fat, they picture the whitish goo in love handles and saddlebags. These white fat cells store energy. Brown fat cells, on the other hand, burn energy and release heat. Scientists have known for decades that newborns and other baby animals have brown fat deposits that help them keep warm. Earlier this year, researchers discovered that adults possess functional brown fat too. Because brown fat burns calories, scientists have been searching for a way to harness it to fight obesity and obesity-related diabetes.

Bruce Spiegelman, a cell biologist at Harvard University, and colleagues took an important step in this direction last year when they published research suggesting that brown fat arises from muscle precursors. A key protein called PRDM16 appears to be involved in the transformation. When the researchers prompted muscle cells to manufacture PRDM16, they became brown fat cells. The process worked in reverse as well: Blocking expression of PRDM16 in brown fat cells led to the creation of muscle cells.

Now the researchers have more information about how the transformation works. In their latest paper, which appears online today in Nature, Spiegelman and colleagues report that a partner protein called C/EBP-beta binds to PRDM16. "With those two factors, you can go away from muscle and convert connective tissue cells to brown fat, too," Spiegelman says. Indeed, when the researchers engineered connective tissue cells from mouse and human skin to produce PRDM16 and C/EBP-beta, they became fully functional brown fat. Moreover, after the team injected the cells into mice, they behaved like brown fat, sopping up glucose.

Spiegelman's team has yet to show that the cells spur mice to shed weight--that's one of the next steps. But if further research pans out, a physician might one day be able to collect a patient's skin cells, turn them into brown fat cells, and then inject those fat cells back into the patient to promote weight loss.

Leslie Kozak, a molecular geneticist at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, calls the experiment "elegant," but he says that "the application is really a long way off--if ever." He points out that natural brown fat cells can turn on and off. The cells Spiegelman and colleagues produced, in contrast, seemed to be constantly producing heat. So one concern is that if enough synthetic cells were transplanted into a person to spark weight loss, fever might result. "Chronic fever would not be a good thing at all," says Kozak.

Other hurdles remain, such as determining the proper dose of brown fat cells. For now, says Clay Semenkovich, an endocrinologist at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, the idea remains an "exciting fantasy."
